Pressure testing, leak detection, vacuum and accurate weighed re-gas of R410a, R32 and legacy R22 systems. In Mall of Africa Precinct this is corporate & commercial work on all split types systems, attended within about 60 minutes of dispatch. On Daikin equipment specifically — inverter splits, vrv multi-storey systems and ducted plant — the faults we see most in Mall of Africa Precinct are eev coil sticking on multi-splits and refrigerant loss at flare joints.Every visit starts with a full diagnostic and a written quote before any part is fitted.Centre management permits and strict night work windows. Refrigerant data
| Gas | Classification | Suction pressure | Discharge pressure | Typical use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| R410a | HFC blend (A1) | 280-320 kPa at 7 degrees C evaporating | 2 600-3 000 kPa at 45 degrees C ambient | Most inverter splits, ducted systems, VRV/VRF and heat pumps installed since 2005. |
| R32 | HFC (A2L, mildly flammable) | 300-340 kPa at 7 degrees C evaporating | 2 700-3 100 kPa at 45 degrees C ambient | Current-generation inverter splits and heat pumps. |
| R22 | HCFC (phased out) | 480-520 kPa at 7 degrees C evaporating | 1 700-2 000 kPa at 45 degrees C ambient | Legacy splits and ducted plant installed before the phase-out. |
Common questions
Why is my Daikin unit flashing its indicator light in Mall of Africa Precinct?
A flashing operation lamp means the board has logged a fault code. Pressing the cancel button on the remote and holding it cycles the code out; U0 points to a low charge, U4 to a communication fault between indoor and outdoor units, and A5 to a freeze or high pressure trip.
How often should an aircon need re-gassing?
A correctly installed system should never need gas. If it does, there is a leak, so we pressure test and repair the leak before charging rather than topping up annually.
Can you work after trading hours?
Yes. Retail, restaurant and office work is routinely scheduled at night or early morning under a permit-to-work so trading is not interrupted.
